Alex is a second-year graduate student in the Division of Nutritional Sciences. In 2014, he received his B.S. in Biology and a minor in chemistry from Denison University before moving to Boston for the next five years where he worked in pre-clinical and clinical research at MIT & Partners HealthCare. His current project involves analyzing publicly-available American Gut data, finding links between diet quality with the gut microbiota. He is also a lead on the ongoing SNACKing Clinical Trial (NCT04223323).
