I am Nadine Veasley, a second-year graduate student in the Division of Nutritional Sciences. I am originally from Des Moines, Iowa and received my bachelor’s in science in Microbiology from Iowa State University in 2022. I have an interest in the relationships between nutrition, the gut microbiome, and health outcomes as well as personalized and targeted biomedical interventions. I am currently the lead graduate student on our study FUEL, which is assessing the effects of fiber on the metabolizable energy of the typical American diet.
